Before joining any program, be sure to read through the terms, privacy policy, and advertising pages. The terms will specify details of the program, such as how payments are made, if there are fees, or if redemptions are "ads-only". The privacy policy of a page is very important to read through. Good programs will not sell, lease, or rent your information to other companies. If you find a program who may do this with your information, RUN AWAY! Your inbox may become full of unwanted spam.
Finally, look through the advertising page. If a program's advertising page is hidden from public view, it might be a bad thing, but not all the time. The advertising rates will determine if a program is stable. As an example, if a site says they'll give you five cents per email, but the advertising rate is $5.00 to 500 members, you know the program is not stable because at that rate, each member would receive one cent of that from the advertiser purchase, and the other four cents from the program owner, without a profit. Although there are some things to consider, such as not every member will read an ad, programs that appear to pay more than they receive in revenue are generally considered unsustainable, or fradulent programs.
